Yachad is built to work with today's busy teen's schedule.
8th-12th grade students may attend Yachad classes on Monday night at Beth El Temple in West Hartford, Sunday evenings at Temple Beth Hillel in South Windsor, Sunday mornings at The Emanuel Synagogue's Beit Sefer Tichon or opt-in to several exciting opportunities to learn, socialize, and meet with other Jewish teens!
Yachad Central is our Monday night program, meeting from 7:00-8:40 pm at Beth El Temple in West Hartford. 8th Grade and Junior Division (9th & 10th Grade) students choose two courses each semester from a wide variety of offerings. Senior Division (11th & 12th Grade) students can choose to study in mini-mesters, full semester courses as well as in off-site options, including supervised independent study or internships. All students participate in a special January term.
Yachad Central also provides students opportunities outside the formal setting of the classroom to connect and socialize with other Jewish teens. Before-school dinners and after-school ice cream socials are regular parts of the Yachad calendar. Yachad student council, committees and mitzvah projects are other ways to get involved.
